Creative expression necessitates movement from the conscious mind into (and out of) the realm of the unconscious. When looking to the unknown for a creative spark, we must, to an extent, let go of our rational mode of thinking. Therefore art with this intention requires a process-based approach. We find what to do in the doing itself. The various methodologies of Arthur King push both artist and viewer/listener to illuminate collectively vital qualities found in the creative engagement of the unknown.
